Your information
Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: August 19, 2026
This Policy explains how RallyClip collects, uses, discloses, and retains personal information through our website, macOS application, closed beta, and shared-clip service.
1. Scope and controller
This Privacy Policy applies to the RallyClip website at rallyclip.ai, the RallyClip macOS application, beta waitlist and communications, video processing and sharing, and related support (the “Service”). RallyClip.ai is a business based in Texas, United States. For data-protection purposes, RallyClip.ai is the controller or business responsible for personal information described here, except where another party independently determines how information is used.
This Policy does not govern a third party’s independent handling of a clip after someone downloads, records, forwards, or otherwise obtains it.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Beta and contact information: first and last name, email address, messages, support requests, and beta status.
- Video and clip content: videos, audio, images of players or spectators, filenames, titles, dimensions, duration, and other metadata you choose to upload or share.
- Communications: records and delivery status for confirmation, invitation, support, legal, and operational emails.
- Consent and agreement records: whether and when you accepted the Terms and acknowledged this Policy, plus the applicable policy versions.
Information collected automatically
- Service and security data: IP address, request time, browser or app user agent, operating system, referring page or domain, requested route, response status, diagnostics, and information needed to prevent abuse and deliver files.
- Analytics data, if you consent: page views, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser category, traffic source, beta-signup conversion, and shared-clip interactions such as playback starts, 25%, 50%, and 75% watch milestones, completion, and copy-link actions.
- Local application information: RallyClip may store preferences, clip boundaries, recent-file references, and credentials locally on your Mac, including in macOS application storage or Keychain. Local information is not sent to us unless required for a feature you use, such as uploading a shared clip, or you include it in a support request.
Information from other people
An uploader may provide footage or metadata that concerns players, coaches, officials, spectators, or other people. The uploader is responsible for having authority to provide and share that information. We may also receive rights complaints, referrals, or support messages from third parties.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- operate, deliver, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve RallyClip;
- process video, create exports, store shared clips, and deliver unlisted viewing pages;
- manage beta requests, invitations, access, communications, and support;
- measure traffic, acquisition, conversions, clip engagement, reliability, and feature performance;
- detect fraud, abuse, malware, unauthorized access, and violations of our Terms;
- protect users, RallyClip, and others, enforce agreements, and exercise or defend legal claims; and
- comply with law, court orders, and valid government requests.
We do not use uploaded footage for facial recognition or to identify people. We will update this Policy and provide any legally required notice or consent before materially changing that practice.
4. Google Analytics and privacy choices
RallyClip uses Google Analytics 4 (“GA4”), provided by Google, to understand use of the Service. GA4 may use first-party cookies and similar technologies to distinguish browsers and sessions and may process device information, approximate geography, referral information, and interaction events. Google may process this information in the United States and other countries under its applicable terms and data-protection commitments.
We configure RallyClip analytics to keep advertising storage, Google Signals, and ad-personalization signals disabled. We do not send names, email addresses, clip titles, source filenames, uploaded video, or the unlisted URL that grants access to a clip. For per-clip reporting, GA4 receives a separate random analytics identifier that cannot open the clip and a generic route such as /c/shared.
GA4 loads only after you select Accept analytics. If you decline, RallyClip does not load the GA4 library. You can change your choice at any time using Privacy choices. Withdrawing consent stops future analytics collection and attempts to remove RallyClip GA cookies from your browser; it does not erase information already collected. We honor supported Global Privacy Control signals by disabling optional analytics.
Google’s information is available in Google’s Privacy Policy and How Google safeguards Analytics data. Google also offers a browser opt-out add-on.
5. Legal bases for processing
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, or similar law applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Contract and pre-contract steps: to provide requested beta, processing, sharing, support, and related functionality.
- Consent: for GA4 analytics and any other processing for which we specifically request consent. You may withdraw consent prospectively at any time.
- Legitimate interests: to secure and improve the Service, prevent abuse, communicate about requested services, understand non-cookie operational performance, and establish or defend legal claims, balanced against affected rights.
- Legal obligations and vital interests: to comply with law and respond to serious safety or rights concerns.
6. How we disclose information
We may disclose personal information to:
- service providers and processors that provide hosting, infrastructure, security, email delivery (including Resend), analytics (Google Analytics), and technical support, under contractual restrictions where required;
- people you direct, including anyone to whom you or another recipient gives an unlisted clip URL;
- professional advisers, such as lawyers, accountants, insurers, and auditors, where reasonably necessary;
- authorities or affected parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid process, protect safety or rights, investigate misuse, or enforce agreements; and
- a successor or transaction participant in connection with financing, reorganization, merger, sale, or transfer of all or part of RallyClip, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal requirements.
We do not disclose uploaded videos to Google Analytics. Unlisted clips are disclosed to viewers at the uploader’s direction when a share URL is used.
7. Retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including:
- beta and contact records: while the beta relationship remains active and afterward as needed to honor preferences, manage access, document communications, or comply with law;
- shared clips: until removed by RallyClip or following a verified deletion request, subject to temporary backups and legal holds; beta storage is not permanent and may be removed under the Terms;
- GA4 event-level data: according to the retention setting in our GA4 property, which we intend to limit to 14 months, while aggregate reports may remain longer;
- agreement and security records: as needed to demonstrate consent or agreement, protect the Service, resolve disputes, and enforce rights.
Retention may be extended when required by law, a valid legal hold, safety needs, or an unresolved dispute. We may de-identify or aggregate information and retain the resulting non-personal information.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. Shared-clip URLs use high-entropy identifiers, uploads are authenticated, credentials are stored separately from public content, and transport is encrypted with HTTPS. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure. An unlisted link is a capability, not a password; anyone who receives it can view and forward the clip.
9. International data transfers
RallyClip is operated from the United States, and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where privacy laws differ from those where you live. Where required, we rely on recognized transfer mechanisms such as adequacy decisions, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where applicable to a recipient, or standard contractual clauses and the UK addendum. You may contact us for more information about applicable safeguards.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or information about recipients and processing. You may also have the right to appeal a refusal and complain to your local privacy or data-protection authority.
To make a request, email hello@rallyclip.ai with “Privacy request” in the subject. Describe the request and the information or clip involved. We will verify requests proportionately, for example by confirming control of an email address or authority over a share URL. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law, but we may require proof of authorization and direct identity confirmation. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
You may unsubscribe from optional email using an included link when available or by contacting us. Operational messages necessary to a requested service may still be sent.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we disable Google advertising and personalization signals. We therefore do not currently offer a separate “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link. We honor Global Privacy Control by disabling optional analytics. If our practices change, we will update this notice and provide legally required opt-out methods.
We do not knowingly use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics. Video may depict people, but RallyClip does not use it for facial recognition or biometric identification.
12. Children
RallyClip is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from them. People under 13 may not join the beta, upload content, or use the Service. If you believe a child under 13 provided information to us, contact us so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate.
Uploaders must obtain appropriate permission before uploading or sharing footage of minors. This requirement does not make the child a RallyClip user and does not authorize exploitative, unsafe, or unlawful content.
13. Third-party sites and recipient activity
The Service may link to third-party sites governed by their own policies. People who receive a clip URL may process, download, or redistribute the clip independently of RallyClip. Exercise care when sharing links and contact the recipient directly regarding their independent copies.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy as RallyClip develops. We will post the revised version and update the effective date. We will provide additional notice or seek consent when required by law for material changes.
